Muscle Grit Ingredients

Vitamin B-6

This vitamin is the only one directly involved in the metabolism of proteins, so athletes and bodybuilders need it first.

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) assists in protein metabolism and transportation of amino acids which create all the necessary conditions for the restoration of muscle fibers and building muscle mass. With a deficiency of this substance, muscle growth is impossible (1)

Magnesium

Magnesium (Mg) is an essential mineral that takes part in the process of energy metabolism and assists the maintenance of normal muscle function. A number of studies have proven that the extra Mg is required for individuals who participate in physical. (2)

Zinc

Zinc supports sleep quality and recovery after hard workouts, and it improves your body’s ability to use calories you’ve consumed for fuel rather than shuttling them to storage as fat. (3)

Tribulus terrestris

Tribulus terrestris is widely used by athletes and bodybuilders based on claims that it can enhance testosterone concentrations. Although evidence to prove it does enhance testosterone is limited, some studies show that it may improve libido in men and women. (4)

DHEA

Dehydroepiandrosterone is a hormone naturally produced by the body and it helps produce other hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. The bodies natural DHEA levels peak in early adulthood and then slowly decrease as you age (5)

One study provides evidence that DHEA replacement has the beneficial effect of enhancing the increases in muscle mass and strength induced by heavy resistance exercise in older individuals (6)

Deer Antler Powder

Antler powder is valued for its medicinal purposes which include a wide range of health-based and performance issues. It is claimed to: Improve immune system functioning; improve athletic performance and strength; Improve muscle recovery after exercise; Reduce negative effects of stress; Enhance sexual functioning for both men and women; Promote rapid recovery from illness; Have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties (7).

Tongkat Ali Root Powder

Studies show that tongkat ali may boost testosterone levels and help treat infertility in men, relieve stress, and possibly increase muscle mass. However, more extensive research is needed (8).

5-Methyl-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone

(Also known as Methoxy), is an anabolic chemical compound which can increase muscle mass, enhance strength, decrease cortisol levels and improve overall recovery from exercise. It functions by increasing the delivery of amino acids into the muscle cells which help the growth and repair of the muscles. (9)

Rhodiola rosea

Rhodiola has the potential to decrease perceived exertion, which may allow you to work out longer and harder.

In one study, participants given rhodiola were able to exercise for an average of 24 seconds longer than those given a placebo.

Another study looked at its effects on endurance exercise performance. Participants given rhodiola before a cycle race, finished the race significantly faster than the placebo group.

In these studies and others, rhodiola has been shown to improve exercise performance by decreasing perceived exertion, or how hard participants felt their bodies were working (10)

Alpha Lipoic Acid

ALA helps the body convert simple sugars into energy and this can help improve exercise performance. It also assists in the delivery of essential nutrients to the muscle tissue, which increases strength, endurance and muscle size. (11)

Octacosanol

There are numerous theories that claim Octacosanol has the ability to increase strength and endurance. One theory is that it boosts the energy applied to muscles via the promotion of the transfer of fatty acids in the muscles (12).
